The story behind the book drew me in. Over the course of 50 years, the author collected memories, thoughts, and quotes that encouraged him. He called them his Good News File because he would flip through these memories when he needed a lift.
In his retirement, Mickleson spent two years writing a book inspired by his own Good News File he hoped would bring encouragement to a world that desperately needs it. He was right. It’s a thoughtful, encouraging work that includes original thoughts from the author mixed with quotes and stories from others.
A great gift for someone in recovery or someone you want to encourage, just because.
